Thomas Creek Trail

Description
The Thomas Creek Trail is a dirt trail in Fairport, NY.  It is located just north of the Erie Canal path and is split into two segments.  The first segment is about about 0.5 miles long and follows Thomas Creek behind the BOCES complex.  The second section, which is 0.4 miles long and is disconnected from the first by 0.3 miles of road, ends at Legion Eyer Park in East Rochester.
Trail Heads
  • The southeast trail head is located in the back parking lot of the Ashwood Industrial Park off O'Connor Rd.  Parking is best at either Perrington Park or in the BOCES parking lot.  The Ashwood Industrial Park is located south of BOCES and north of the Railroad tracks.  The entrance is blocked by a gated fence, which is often closed, but there is a pedestrian opening in the North-East corner (not near the driveway).  Proceed to the back (south-west) corner of the parking lot and the trail head is marked.
  • The northwest trail head is located near the entrance to Legion Eyer park, just off Wilson Ave near the railroad tracks.  Parking is available in the park near the baseball fields.
Navigation
  • The southeast trail ends just past BOCES.  Follow BOCES Blvd north-east to Baird Rd.  Then turn north and take the first left onto Midvale Dr.  The next section of trail is located on the right of Midvale Dr. just prior to the bend where the road turns south.
Food and Drink

  • There are no food stops near the trail.  However, by connecting to the Erie canal trail and traveling 0.6 miles east into Fairport you will find several food vendors such as Lickety Splits ice cream.
Connecting and Nearby Trails
  • The southern end of the trail is located close to the Erie canal trail near Perington Park.
